Who Are We?
The Investors' Association at North Carolina State University was founded in 2013, bringing like-minded individuals together to learn about securing better futures for themselves through investing.

We are a club within the Poole College of Management at NC State University, but we are open to all majors and disciplines. We encourage everyone that has an interest in investing or trading to join regardless of their level of knowledge.

What Do We Do?
​
At our meetings, we typically have presentations by club members covering a wide array of topics. We cover just about every aspect of investing and trading, from the very basics of "what are stocks?" to portfolio management strategies and complex investment considerations.
​
Previous presentations have included a wide variety of topics, including the Portfolio Management Process, Approaches to Investor Sentiment, Algorithmic Trading, and Options Trading strategies. We prefer to have our members present on topics they individually research rather than bringing in guest speakers. This approach encourages members to study topics they have interest in and then teach the entire group what they have learned.

Why Do We Do It?
We believe that every person should have the knowledge to successfully invest and allow their hard-earned money grow over time. Everyone with hopes of financial success will need to invest a portion of their earnings at some point, and having the knowledge to do so is extremely important.
